Position description
- Job title: Email Deliverability Consultant
- Location: Anywhere (US/EU area preferred due to match with clients)
- Contract: Full-time or part-time, both can be discussed
- Pay range: USD 60–100K+, with some variation possible depending on the candidate. Hourly rates based on this range.
- Email deliverability experience: 3+ years
Missions
- Implement relevant changes in clients’ infrastructure to achieve optimal deliverability.
- Run assessments such as audits, reports and investigations.
- Monitor potential issues and alert the Deliverability Manager.
- Provide structured, regular reporting (reports, investigations, etc.) before every client call, shared with the CSM and Deliverability Manager well in advance.
- Communicate directly with clients to present reports and implement changes alongside their teams.
Objectives
- Improve clients’ deliverability KPIs.
- Provide clear insights and recommendations on the current situation.
- React quickly to issues and promptly flag deliverability problems.

- Clear communication, both internally and with clients.
- Reliability and consistency in your availability.
- Follow existing SOPs and templates, create new ones and improve existing ones.
- Clear communication with the CSM and Deliverability Manager (written client reports sent at least four hours before client calls, and immediate verbal updates whenever possible).

Reporting line
Reports to the Customer Success Manager and the Deliverability Manager.
Responsibilities
- Be the main advocate for deliverability best practices.
- Advise clients on how to improve their deliverability.
- Manage and monitor MTA IPs for blocks and reputation issues.
- Analyze MTA logs, with a focus on bounces, clicks and open rates.
- Liaise with ISPs to resolve clients’ deliverability issues.
- Build strategic relationships with major ISPs, email filtering companies and blocklist operators.
- Define KPIs to measure email program efficiency and drive measurable improvements.
Must have
- Knowledge of MTAs and SMTP servers
- Knowledge of major ISPs, spam policies and best practices
- Expertise in authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), bounce classification and handling
- Excellent knowledge of databases and log analysis
- Excellent written and spoken English
